hello. I am currently engaged in the manufacturing industry and am working in a production management role.
I've been going for a little over a year, but I've learned the knowledge and what I need
What is Production Management?

I am writing for those who are curious about what the production management job is like.

What is a production management job? Literally grasp the situation of production and return to the field, analyze CAPA,
Think about how to make the site work more efficiently, and think about what can be improved.
In a way, it is easy to approach, but I think it will be difficult when you experience the job.

Today, before joining the production management business! 4 principles of production that you should know before working in the manufacturing industry!

FLOW
PUSH&PULL
5S/VM
BIQ

It literally means flow. A strong site, a site that produces smoothly Let's make a site that flows like water!
What is production that flows like water? It literally refers to production that continues from INPUT to OUTPUT without blockage. Isn't that natural? You may think that, but when you go to the manufacturing industry, you will feel that it is a big miscalculation. It can be twisted in the process, worker vacancies can occur, equipment problems can occur, and urgent products must be processed You may have to quit the product you used to do, and the field is a place with many variables. So, in our production management job, we are worried about whether there are any factors that are wasted in the process, whether it is taking unnecessary time,
In the event of a worker's absence, we need to find a way to replace it, whether the facility can be blocked by other facilities in the event of an emergency, or whether there is a way to proceed with emergency goods with minimal damage to the production line, even though it is necessary to proceed with urgent goods.

PULL & PUSH At the site, there are two methods when the production line flows.
PULL pull. In other words, we produce as much as the post-process requires.
PUSH to push. It is a method of pushing the quantity in the previous process regardless of the subsequent process.
To keep the principle of flowing production flow, I think the PULL method is the most ideal method.
The biggest advantage is that you can reduce unnecessary stock only when you produce as much as you need post-processing. The worst thing to do while working in production management is to build up inventory. Of course, there are times when you need to stock up. What I'm saying is that we need to be vigilant against unnecessary inventory and overstocking.

Everyone may be unfamiliar with 5S, but have you heard of 3jung 5S? No matter which company you go to, no matter which manufacturing industry you go to 3 Jeong 5 S practice is essential. But it is a difficult part to put into practice.
The 5S simply refers to organizing, tidying up, cleaning, cleanliness, and habituation. We will discuss this in detail in the next post. And VM, i.e. management with eyes. Abbreviation for Visual Managementnet. Management that makes people who don't know the site more easily see it with their eyes so that they can say, "Oh, this is it!" It is a must-have practice task in the manufacturing industry, right? Looking at the field where I am working now, there are many things that are very sad. Purchases, restraints, and just how much stock is required to be checked, but it is difficult to check, and the number of stocks written does not match, and there are many points to be improved in the future.

BIQ self-process quality assurance. What is self process quality assurance? Do not send defects from one process to the next process. Also, in my process, if the ITEM of the later process is defective, I can catch it. This is the most important point in the manufacturing production line. Even if there is a quality team in the manufacturing industry, it is not possible to go around numerous lines and catch all defects. It is said that each company has installed Q-GATE, but if the defect is caught only after the product is completed at the end, the damage will be enormous. will do. So BIQ can be said to be the most important point in the manufacturing field.

Those who apply for production management jobs, acquire simple knowledge before joining the company, during interviews, or while working We wish you good results, and we will provide you with useful information in the future.
thank you
